A symposium, organized by Dr. Lewis Alcott (School of Earth Sciences) and Dr. Richard Cole (Department of Classics and Ancient History), brought together researchers and educators interested in using games and immersive technologies for education and engagement about the environment. The event focused on three key applications of games in an academic setting: (1) inspiring people of all ages to discuss and learn about the environment, (2) integrating games into education from primary school to higher education, and (3) utilizing games in research for both outreach and pedagogy
